Master Cleanse: Day 6

Standard

Morning Weigh-in:  146.8 lbs.

Today’s Intake:

6:30 am – 1 quart salt water
8:10 am – 12 oz water
9:00 am – 1 quart lemonade
11:00 am – 1 quart lemonade
1:14 pm – 1 quart lemonade
3:07 pm – 1 quart lemonade
8:20 pm – 1 cup herb lax. tea

Wow, I drank a lot today!   And, after today’s prep, I’m out of lemons again.  I think I’ll get limes this time, too, since the concoction can be made with either.  While I’m at it, I’ll probably stock up on at least some bananas and tomatoes so they can be ripening for next week.

I’ve cut down even more on the cayenne, as I can actually feel when it passes, as if I’ve had a big, spicy meal. = /  Now, I’m just using a pinch.  I can already tell it’s cleared away a lot, if not all, of any mucus.  The only other thing I’m noticing on Day 6 is that my stomach is quiet and peaceful, just like it is when I’m raw.  The elimination -type trips to the restroom (RR) slow down around 1 pm.  Phew!

By the way, I received an email confirmation that my dates shipped today.  They are fast!! I just ordered them yesterday evening.  Excited!!

Master Cleanse: Day 5

Standard

Happy New Year!!

Morning Weigh-in: 148.2 lbs

Today’s Intake:

7:54 am – 1 quart salt water

I am loving the simplicity of this cleanse.  Just two teaspoons of salt, plus water, to start the morning.  I ate ice the rest of the  morning.

During one of many trips to the RR, I pressed on my stomach to massage the colon and experienced way more elimination.   I was already feeling just fine before — no dizziness, weakness, or headaches.  I felt even better after helping things along in this way.  I did it because every time I moved, I can hear and feel the latest quart of fluids sloshing around inside!

11:51 am – 1 quart lemonade

I sipped this quart while watching The Matrix, one of my fave movies, and playing Sudoko.  I love the part where Trinity says, “You know that road.  You know exactly where it ends.  And I know that’s not where you want to be.”  It applies to so many things for me, and at this moment, it is the familiar road of cooked food versus the raw food path.

Let it all go…fear, doubt, and disbelief.  Free your mind.

~ The Matrix

3:16 pm – 1 quart lemonade

4:14 pm – 1 cup mint tea

5:03 pm – 1 quart lemonade

8:48 pm – 1 cup herbal lax tea

I ordered some Khadrawy dates from 7hotdates.  I will need them next week!  I’m very much looking forward to eating again.  My mouth is salivating looking at raw vegan recipes.  When I get back to eating, I plan to eat mostly fruit and keep it close to 80/10/10 at least for a month.  I really want to work on taking in the seemingly large amount of fruit on a consistent basis and getting used to it.  Then, I may stick to raw for longer than a month.  For good would be nice.  = )

How synchronistic!  I just received and signed up for FullyRaw Kristina’s 21 Day Challenge. This is perfect as I prefer to eat LFRV, and the program will be beginning as my cleanse is ending.

Master Cleanse: Day 4

Standard

Posting yesterday’s notes…

Morning Weigh-In: 148.4 lbs

Tuesday’s Intake:

6:35 am – 1 quart salt water

8:34 am – 1 quart lemonade

11:00 am – 1 quart lemonade

1:00 pm – 1 quart lemonade

3:00 pm – 10 oz mint tea

I didn’t have a chance to prepare the quarts this morning, so I took all the ingredients into work.  I juiced six lemons by hand into a pint jar.  I  made the mixture throughout the day as needed.

By 4 pm,  I am starving!  Looking forward to making another quart when I get home, as there’s not enough lemon juice left to make another batch.

When I actually made it home, I ate ice instead.  *shrugs*

6:00 pm – 1 quart lemonade

I scheduled a massage and sauna session for this weekend.  The most relaxing way to detox!

Master Cleanse: Day 3

Standard

Morning Weigh-In: 149.6 lbs

Today’s Intake:

5:29 am – 1 quart salt water

This morning I prepared three quarts of the lemonade mixture to take to work.  I combined the lemon juice, syrup, and cayenne in each Mason jar, then added the water later, when I was ready to drink it.  Three quarts (or 96 oz) was just enough to get me through the day.  I juiced about two lemons per jar and saved what little leftover juice I had for tonight.

8:03 am – 1 quart lemonade

11:10 am – 1 quart lemonade

1:04 pm – 1 quart lemonade

3:00 pm – 10 oz mint tea

By 4 pm, I wasn’t hungry at all, but all kinds of cravings ran through my mind – spagetti, tortilla chips, etc – but, I wouldn’t dare eat any of that on this cleanse!

4:30 pm – 20 oz water

6:00 pm – 1 quart of water

7:33 pm – 1 quart lemonade

8: 30 pm – 1 cup herbal laxative tea

I bought more maple syrup and more lemons at Whole Foods today.  Third such trip!  I’m keeping a tally.  So far, I’ve bought four bags of organic lemons (7 per bag),  six single lemons, two 12-oz bottles of Grade A maple syrup,  and one 32-oz jar of the same syrup!  The syrup goes more quickly than I thought it would at 2-tbsp per batch, and I’m making three batches per Mason jar quart.  I didn’t think I would need the $18 32-oz jar of it for just ten days, but I do.  Still may have to buy more before it’s over.

Master Cleanse: Day 2

Standard

Morning Weigh-in: 150.2 lbs

Today’s Intake:

8:44 am – 1 quart salt water (finished 9:30 a)

12:30 pm – 16.9 oz water

1:30 pm –  1 quart lemonade (finished 1:48 p).  I’m so thirsty right now!  Much more thirsty than yesterday.

2:30 pm – 1 cup mint tea.  Mint tea can be taken throughout the cleanse, and I really want a cup.  I used 10-12 leaves of fresh, locally grown mint. Just the leaves and hot water.

Fresh mint tea

Fresh mint tea

4:03 pm – 1 quart lemonade.  As I’m drinking this second round of lemonade, I already feel I want another quart.

6:04 pm – 1 quart lemonade

8:20 pm – 1 cup herb tea

The cleansing is constant throughout the day.  There truly is no need for any added fiber, psyllium husk, or any other supplement, as the book says.

Master Cleanse: Day 1

Standard

Yep, doing another fast. = ) This time I’m documenting online as I go.  So, I am doing Stanley Burrough’s Master Cleanser routine for the first time.  Reading about it during my recent juice fast got me curious.  Plus, I came across this awesome blog from a second-timer.  Can it really do all that it claims to do in just 10 days?

I took the herbal laxative tea last night, as directed, using a Zija teabag my folks sent to me just to try. I’m sure they had no idea I’d use it to kick start a 10-day (or more) cleanse. = )

Starting weight: 152.6 lb

So, I starting drinking the quart of salt water this morning at 9:21 am and finished by 10 am — I loved this by the way.  It’s great warm!

And the cleansing begins…

11:25 am – first movement

12:15 pm – second movement

I’m very glad I stuck close to home this morning.  The salt water is supposed to flush through the whole intestine in an hour.  It was a hour and a half for me, but it was definitely flushed out! Thereafter, I went once an hour for the next three hours.

12:25 pm –  first lemonade concoction.  It is tasty, too! I made one quart, which is three batches of the recipe.  The cayenne made me sneeze, so I’ll use a little less for the next round.

I had family in town today, so I met them at the mall in the afternoon.  I don’t really like going out when starting something new, especially a cleanse, but life must go on.  I didn’t mention the cleanse to them.  I just bought a couple of 17 oz bottles of water while there and made the second round of lemonade when I got home.  Already, I noticed that my desire for ice was less (I have quite the ice-eating habit).

7:02 pm – second round of lemonade

9:30 pm – herbal tea

A Prayer for Detox Support

“Dear God and the angels, please support me on my journey toward greater health. I am now ready to release unhealthful foods and beverages from my diet. I can understand your messages and wish to follow your guidance to detox from unhealthy, processed food. I pray that you adjust my cravings so that I only desire healthful and high-vibrating foods and beverages. May my health improve immediately and repair my energy. Thank you.”

(From “Angel Detox” by Doreen Virtue and Robert Reeves, ND)

~~ Master Cleanser wisdom ~~

* We can create healthy bodies by using the right foods and eliminating highly toxic and mucus-forming foods.

* …deficiencies also produce toxins because of the deterioration of the cells.

* Infections are not “caught,” they are created by Nature to assist in burning our surplus wastes.

* People build strong, healthy bodies from the correct foods or they build diseased bodies from incorrect foods.

* When blood sugar is below normal, a person will feel depressed.

*As we eat the correct foods without excesses, the body will produce ALL the needed vitamins.

* The need (for protein) is highly exaggerated as only 16% of our body is protein.

* The most wastes are eliminated by breathing; next in order are the skin, the colon, the kidneys, and … from the sinus.

* …first cleanse the body before the right diet can be properly used.

After the Fast: Results & Plans

Standard

Results

End Weight: 139.6 lbs.

Total Weight Loss:  155.6-139.6 = 16 lbs

My aims for this juice fast were to:
  • go raw
  • hydrate
  • improve elimination
  • restore 20/20 vision
  • overcome ice eating habit

I lost 16 pounds, feel hydrated, and have improved elimination.  I ate ice throughout the fast, so that never quite went away!  Not sure how much ice, maybe a couple of dozen cubes or so every day.

First Days after the fast:  November 2 through 4

It’s Saturday!  Just completed my longest juice fast to date (3 weeks). I definitely wanted to end it on the weekend, even noting “Break Fast” on my calendar for this day.  = )   This way, I have plenty of time to prepare and eat the food and just relax.  From previous experience, although for shorter  fasts, I know it’s important how I get back into food.  To just dive back into eating cooked foods caused a lot of pain (and probably some damage inside) in the past.  So, I literally wrote out a “Post-Juice Fast Plan” for the first three days and planned a shopping list to cover the meals.  For the shopping list, I wrote how much of each ingredient would be needed for each meal, noting any substitutions or omitting ingredients I don’t like, then added it all up on one master shopping list.

Even though the list is for 3 days of meals, I definitely expect it to last at least a week!

My first meal for today is about a quart of my favorite smoothie — strawberry and pineapple.  A smoothie is just a step up from juice, as far as roughage.  It is easy on the stomach.

My lunch was a fraction of this massive, delicious Mediterranean salad by FullyRaw Kristina.  I love it because it is low-fat, raw vegan (LFRV).  Keeping foods light on the first day, plus I’m not that hungry.  I dehydrated the rest of it for later.

For dinner, I had Bragg’s-marinated mushrooms and avocado on basil, with a couple of sheets of nori seaweed.

For Sunday, I planned to have chia seed oatmeal for breakfast, a raw veggie burger for lunch, and fruit & salad for dinner.   I had a taste for something else though.  Plus, I wanted to keep prep minimal. I kept it simple with coconut milk, a spinach salad, and a bowl of fruit.  Works for me! Due to the planning and shopping, I have a well-stocked raw fridge, even though I didn’t make everything I planned.
It’s Monday.  Back to work.  I’m quite nervous about staying raw while at work.  It was much easier on the juice fast.  Now, I worry I won’t pack enough…that I’ll be hungry…or that I won’t have a taste for what I packed.  I made  chia seed oatmeal for breakfast and a creamy spinach salad for lunch.

I went back to cooked on Wednesday.  I had one cooked meal after eating a bowl of fruit first.  To my surprise, I didn’t double over in pain, which I was expecting from previous forays back to cooked.  Then I realized the transition back to solid foods was successful this time.  It’s not supposed to hurt!
Overall, I was very satisfied with the long juice fast and the results.  It was another experiment that was full of fun, simplicity, and inspiration.

Juice Fast: Week 3

Standard

Day 15:  October 28

Weight:  142.4 lbs

Today’s Intake:

24 oz water

24 oz water

25 oz apple-kale-lemon-cilantro juice

24 oz apple-kale juice

Total Fluids: 97 oz

At this point, I’m pretty sure I’ll break fast on Saturday.  Things are flowing as they should again, plus I’m ready for food… raw food.

Today, I went shopping for cashews and cold-pressed EVO (olive oil).  Having read Dr. Graham’s 80/10/10 book earlier this year while on an OJ fast, I plan to be more cautious about the heavy-on-the-nuts-and-seeds, high-fat, raw gourmet meals, and keep it simple.

Day 16:  October 29

Weight: 141.8 lbs

Today’s Intake:

48 oz lemon water

24 oz lemon water

35 oz apple-kale juice

48 oz lemon water

Total Fluids: 155 oz

Day 17:  October 30

Weight:  141.6 lbs

24 oz lemon water

24 oz lemon water

32 oz apple-spinach juice

24 oz lemon water

24 oz lemon water

Total Fluids: 128 oz

I took four psyllium husk capsules first thing this morning.

Later on, I thought I kept swallowing bits of something…what, I don’t know.  Then I realized the little thing at the back of my throat (uvula) was the culprit.  It was hanging down on my tongue, as if it has stretched or something.  It’s tickling the back of my throat.  Detox? Dehydration?

In other news, I received my last fruit box of the summer season.  I signed up for a CSA delivery from Avalon Acres twenty-six weeks ago.  I started out with a Produce/Veggie Box, which was amazing!  The spinach and onions were always my faves.  As the season progressed, I would get “tougher” veggies I didn’t really care for or use that much in its raw state.  Those I would typically give away to others in the program. But fruit, I can always use!

Last fruit box of the season: muscadines, scuppernongs, pears, and apples.

Last fruit box of the season: muscadines, scuppernongs, pears, and apples.

Day 18:  October 31

Weight: 140.6 lbs

Today’s Intake:

24 oz lemon water

24 oz lemon water

16 oz  Green Lemonade (cuke, kale, spinach, lemon, & apple) from Whole Foods

24 oz warm acv-ginger-honey-lemon water

Total Fluids:  88 oz

Due to the hanging-uvula issue from yesterday, and doing my own “diagnosis” online, I added apple cider vinegar (ACV) into my fluids because apparently, if the tissues at the back of the throat are inflamed, it can cause such an issue.  There was also mention of being exposed to strep throat, and I have been recently.  The ACV is supposed to take care of the inflammation.

So, I attempted to juice my CSA apples, and they only made applesauce!  Trick or treat, I guess.  lol I poured it in a jar for later, after the fast.

Day 19:  November 1 (Last Full Day on juice!)

Weight:  140.6 lbs

Today’s Intake:

32 oz warm acv-ginger-raw honey water

32 oz warm acv-ginger-raw honey water

32 oz water

16 oz  Hawaiian Pear (pear, kale, pineapple, celery, & spinach) juice from Whole Foods

Total Fluids:  112 oz

Movement! But only a little…

Looking forward to (raw) food!

Juice Fast: Week 2

Standard

Day 8:  October 21

Weight: 145.6 lbs

Today’s Intake:

16 oz Cuke-Apple Zinger (cucumber, apple, & ginger) unpasteurized fresh juice from Whole Foods

32 oz water, plain

24 oz coconut water

32 oz coconut water

32 oz lemon water

32 oz lemon water

So, that’s 168 oz total fluids consumed during the work day

24 oz Mood Lifter juice (orange & grapefruit) from Urban Juicer

Total Fluids: 192 oz

As far as weight loss, I have lost 10 pounds in one week.

I began practicing Ashtanga yoga in July.  I didn’t go to class last week since I was just starting the fast.  I went today though.  Not good.  I got very dizzy and hot, before the actual Primary Series even started. = (  Because I drank so much fluid, way more than my body weight in ounces, I thought I could make it through class.  And I did make it, but I was constantly watching the clock.  I felt like I was in a Bikram hot yoga class.

On the plus side, I did have a little more movement today…must be the old stuff since its so dense.  Just glad something happened.  Things were getting too backed up.

Day 9:  October 22

Weight: 145.8 lbs

Today’s Intake:

32 oz beet-apple juice

24 oz coconut water

64 oz (half gallon) cold-pressed orange juice from Whole Foods

Total Fluids: 120 oz

I want to start back eating, but I’m not ready yet.  Plus, I haven’t gotten any of the benefits I’m seeking so far.  I bought Bernard Jensen’s Juicing Therapy book for inspiration and information at Whole Body, while I was in the area.

Tonight, I took four psyllium husk pills.

Day 10:  October 23

Weight: 145.6 lbs

Today’s Intake:

32 oz apple-kale juice

32 oz lemon water

32 oz lemon water

Total Fluids: 96 oz

I juiced a pint of grapes and figs, too, but the juice went bad before i could drink it.  = /

All the coconut water and just-fruit juices have been great, yummy, and convenient, but I feel the need to start back having green juices every day.  They really pack a powerful punch!  The apple-kale juice really woke me up this morning.

I had great movement today, by the way.  =)

On lunch break, I bought Master Cleanse by Stanley Burroughs at a health food store.  There is so much info in this little yellow book!  I’ve passed it up many times.  Glad I gave it a look this time.  I’m just reading it for some motivation and knowledge…not actually doing the Cleanse right now.

No psyllium husks today.

Weight: 144.6 lbs

Today’s Intake:

32 oz apple-kale juice

18 oz apple-kale-beet-lemon juice

32 oz water

32 oz water

Total Fluids:  114 oz

I was regular this morning without taking any psyllium supplements last night, but I took four of them today anyway.

In other news, I started making plans to attend the Raw Living Expo next year!  It looks like it will be a lot of fun.  = )

Day 12:  October 25

Weight: 144.4 lbs

Today’s Intake:

20 oz water

32 oz apple-cilantro juice

5 oz pear-cilantro juice

32 oz pear-cilantro juice

32 oz water

Total Fluids: 121 oz

Today — and this may be too TMI — it felt like the pipe unplugged.  I went five times!  I felt LOTS of discomfort in the evening, to the point where I could not sit down straight.  And so I drank more juice, and lots of trapped gas was released.  My stomach was noticeably flatter afterwards.

On a brighter note, I noticed my cheeks were particularly rosy today. = )

Day 13:  October 26

Weight: 143.2 lbs

Today’s Intake:

32 oz water

24 oz Well Being green juice from Urban Juicer

24 oz Cold Buster fruit juice from Urban Juicer

Total Fluids: 80 oz

My cycle started without the usual cramps.  Love when that happens!  I’ve experienced that on raw vegan stints and pure, whole food eating phases. And…my tummy was super flat this morning, after all the releasing yesterday.

Day 14: October 27

Weight: 142.8 lbs

Today’s Intake:

32 oz water

24 oz water

Total Fluids: 56 oz

Yep, that’s all I had today, and it felt enough.

Juice Fast: Week 1

Standard

I started this day with a Strawberry-Kiwi-Lime smoothie.  Hey, I didn’t want to waste my strawberries! And now, begins the juice fast.

Day 1 – October 14

Out of the six quarts of juice I prepared last night,  here’s what I actually drank on Day 1:

All of the Beet juice, Half of the Carrot juice, and some of the Celery-Lime-Basil-Pear.  So, the six quarts were not needed today, BUT I’d rather have too much than run out and feel the need to binge or something.

As for pacing, I drank one and a half quarts of juice during the work day, and I drank the grape juice when i got home at night.

Recap:

24 oz strawberry-kiwi lime smoothie

1 qt (32 oz) beet juice

1 pt (16 oz) carrot juice

8 oz celery-lime-basil-pear

1 qt (32 oz) grape juice

Total fluids= 112 oz

Starting weight: 155.6 lbs

Weight loss is not really one of my main goals, but it’s always a plus to release excess weight, so I decided to keep up with poundage lost.

Day 2:  October 15

I made raspberry juice out of two 12-ounce packages of raspberries (Driscoll’s) I purchased from Wal-mart.  They actually yielded a lot of juice!  Only drank about half a quart (16 ounces), as it was surprisingly bitter.

IMG_0688 IMG_0690

I attempted to drink my remaining carrot concoction in the evening, but it perhaps went bad, spending most of the day in my lunch box.

Drank the whole quart of the lettuce-apple-pear.

Drank one quart of water.  Had no water yesterday, by the way.

I went grocery shopping and bought 2 packs organic green grapes, 1 pack red grapes, 1 lb muscadine, 1 bunch cilantro, 5 lemons, 5 loose beets,  and 3 lb bag carrots .  Since I was at Whole Foods, I also bought a 20-oz spinach-bell pepper-apple juice, which is made fresh right in front of you.

Recap:

20 oz Spinach-Bell pepper-Apple juice

16 oz  Carrot juice

32 oz Lettuce-Apple-Pear

Total juice intake (20+16+32) = 68 oz juice

32 oz water

Total fluids = 100 oz

If I follow the drink-half-your-weight-in-ounces rule, I need 77.8 oz of water/liquids each day. (155.6 lbs/2 = 77.8)

I don’t recall being hungry yesterday, but I was pretty hungry by night time tonight.

Day 3 – October 16

Weight: 150.2 lb

I weighed this morning before dressing.  That’s a weight loss of over 5 lbs in two days!

I did a 5-day orange juice fast in January this year.  I aimed for a week and lasted five days. Maybe more on that later!  I find my current juice fast going much easier, perhaps because of the variety, plus there are greens in many of the juices.  Greens supply chlorophyl, which provides an extra boost of energy and vitality

Today’s Intake:

24-oz of lemon water (x3) = 72 oz

1 pint ( 16 oz) of muscadine juice

32 oz of grape & cucumber juice

Total fluids: 120 oz

IMG_0702

IMG_0704 IMG_0705

Day 4: October 17

Weight: 148.4 lb

Today was a difficult day, and I thought about ending the fast…even if for a salad! I really wanted some vegan chik patties though, of all things.  I haven’t had one of those in at least a year.

So with the intense cravings for food,  I thought it best to do some more research on juicing, for motivation, encouragement, and knowledge.

I came across this blog and article, which was just what I needed to keep going:

http://theglobalgirl.com/my-top-5-juicing-experts-answer-the-most-asked-question-about-juice-fasting/

Today’s Intake:

1 pt (16 oz) carrot juice

1 qt (32 oz) apple, cilantro, ginger juice

1 qt (32 oz) lime water

8 oz leftover juice – celery, basil, etc (from Sun)

24 oz orange-grapefruit

Total fluids: 112 oz

I think one of the things that had me a little down about continuing, is all the juicing!  Then it hit me to go buy coconuts! I bought 2 cases of young coconuts(18 at $1.49 each) I THEN went to a local juicer (Urban Juicer) for a 24 oz orange-grapefruit juice called Mood Lifter.  Giving myself a lil break from juicing!

It’s interesting in some of the fasting tips I have read, people recommend at least 100 oz per day, and that’s exactly what I’ve been doing, and it feels enough.

Day 5: October 18

Weight: 147.6

Today’s Intake:

25 oz coconut water

24 oz coconut water

23 oz coconut water

72 oz total coconut water

32 oz water

32 oz water

32 oz water

96 oz total filtered water

Total fluids: 168 oz

Today went much easier, effortless even. No juicing required.

I was extra cognizant about drinking water today since I had a one-hour massage session.  Massages loosen toxins stored in the body, and drinking lots of water is said to flush them out.

I am a little concerned since I have not had a “movement” since Tuesday…4 days ago! Reading some more, I found that some fasters take psyllium husk, bentonite clay, or cascara sagrada for the insoluable fiber that will move stuff out.  Don’t really want to use them.  Never done an enema, but am seriously considering…

Day 6: October 19

Weight: 146.2 lb

Today’s Intake:

40 (2*20oz) oz apple-beet-ginger-lemon juice (Whole Foods)

25 oz coconut water

I went to Whole Body this morning and bought psyllium capsules.  Took only one.  Now the tummy’s not too quite…

I spent most of the day (and last night) searching for raw food recipes, as I intend to be raw after this fast.  Reading the ones on Rawmazing’s site, makes me believe I could go raw for good this time.  I’ve attempted to “go raw” at least a handful of times since becoming vegetarian 4 1/2 years ago.

I’ve literally been combing the internet for Raw Vegan Indian, Mexican, etc and stumbled across other ideas that I wasn’t looking for but will probaly use, like raw bacon or “french fries” out of eggplant.  After, copying and pasting the recipes into a word doc, including the food pic and website as source, I easily had 100 pages!

I took the psyllium capsule around 9 am this morning, and it’s 9 pm…still no movement.  So, I just took a Prunelax tablet.

Day 7: October 20

Weight: 146.2 lb (again)

Today’s intake:

32 oz lemon water

32 oz lemon water

24 oz Urban Juicer cold buster — grapefruit, lemon, apple, ginger

16 oz cold pressed oj from whole foods

Total: 104 oz

Sucess! Some movement in the morning, but nothing to sneeze at, so I took 4 psyllium capsules around 2 pm.

At 4pm, I feel hungry and want to eat…but I’ve only had 68 oz of fluid so far.  Plus, I don’t feel I’ve juiced long enough (7 days) since I’ve not had significant movements. So that compels me to keep going…

I started to stock up on some raw food items while at Whole Foods:  walnuts, pumpkin seeds, hemp seeds, golden flax seeds, spices & seasonings, raw agave, miso.  My #1 reason for going was for more juice, as I was not in the juicing mindset today.

Now I’m going through the recipes I’ve saved to get a “Round 2” list together of non-perishables I can be stocking up on to be ready after the fast ends.
